Overview
UEX Corporation is a Canadian uranium exploration and development company formed in 2002 under agreement between Cameco Corporation and Pioneer Metals Corporation. UEX trades on the Toronto Stock Exchange and is an active explorer in the Athabasca Basin in northern Saskatchewan which is the most important uranium-producing district in the world accounting for approximately 15% of global primary uranium production in 2012. UEX is actively involved in 17 uranium projects either 100% owned or joint ventured totaling 264,363 hectares (653,255 acres) and located in the eastern, western and northern perimeters of the Athabasca Basin.
